Sir, The rate of stroke in young people is increasing, especially in Vietnam.According to GS, what is the cause of this situation and what can we do to minimize?
GS.Valery Feigin :Stroke in Vietnam is the leading cause of death. The burden of stroke in Vietnam, especially young people, is growing very fast. The main reason is high blood pressure, unhealthy lifestyle, especially smoking habits, lack of physical activity, unhealthy diet such as using too much alcohol and some other causes from disordersheart rate.To control these issues, people need to be aware of the risk of stroke and risk factors that need particular control.
Unfortunately, most people are not aware of the risk of the disease. The stroke risk factors in every young person are different. Therefore, people need to be aware of their risk factors and how to control them effectively. That is exactly what we are supporting Vietnam - the strategies to prevent stroke and secondary strategies based on the digital tools we have developed at our university. These tools have been verified and implemented across both national and international.

The biggest challenge Vietnam is facing to prevent and treat stroke , GS?
GS.Valery Feigin :The biggest challenge is that stroke is increasing and there is no effective strategy to prevent. We are providing tangible tools to solve this problem and we recommend the Ministry of Health of Vietnam to fund this program. There is convincing evidence that this solution can reduce stroke by 50% in Vietnam and other countries. The solution has also been supported by the world stroke
Existing prevention programs in Vietnam are not much different from programs in other low -to -average low -income countries. However, these programs have been proven to be ineffective in reducing stroke burden. Therefore, we are providing a new revolutionary strategy to prevent stroke and cardiovascular disease through digital tools, which have been shown to be effective in some other countries.
The tools we offer should be used in combination with other precaution strategies, such as polypill to reduce blood pressure and control blood lipids like cholesterol. When combined with these solutions, digital tools are particularly effective and have been recorded positive results in practice.
Okay Knowing that during this visit to Vietnam, GS had encounters and exchanging solutions to prevent stroke with Vietnamese authorities. Can you share this content more clearly?
GS.Valery Feigin :During this time in Vietnam, we brought a program to cooperate and implement prevention strategies in Vietnam, at both national and regional levels. We will discuss this because this is a research and implementation cooperation. We also have a plan to apply for funding for international research projects, such as from the European Union, and conduct research and implementation with Vietnamese scientists and professors, especially professors.Thorn and other leading nerve doctors and strokes in Vietnam. We have cooperated closely in the study of the global disease burden - a recent scientific research published in The Lancet Neurology, 12 Vietnamese scientists who have contributed as co -operations.fake.
Stroke is a leading cause of death in Vietnam.
GS shared more about digital tools to help prevent stroke?
GS.Valery Feigin:Digital solutions include two tools.A tool for normal people: Stroke Riskometer - a free application, translated into 25 languages and used in more than 100 countries. The remaining tool is Prevents MD Web App, designed for clinical doctors such as doctors, nurses and medical experts to help them develop prevention recommendations according to personal needs, focusing on patients, focusing on risk factors in the patient's lifestyle.
How does GS evaluate the role of education and propaganda to the community about the risk factors of stroke and cardiovascular disease?
GS.Valery Feigin :This is extremely important.Awareness of stroke and risk factors is the first step.People need to know that the risk of stroke is real.It is not something only happening to others. It can happen to anyone.Knowing his risk is the first step, knowing the risk factors that he may encounter is the second step and know how to control risk factors, which is the third step.
Thank you!
